Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care assistance to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper lifting techniques
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
- Monitor and document residents' vital signs and report any changes to the nurse
- Ensure residents' safety and well-being at all times
- Follow established protocols for infection control and cleanliness
- Respect and uphold residents' rights and maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Implement behavior management strategies as directed by the care plan
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift heavy objects and assist with transfers (up to 50 pounds)
- Knowledge of basic first aid procedures
- Familiarity with medication administration protocols
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a team environment and follow instructions from healthcare professionals
Note: Prior experience as a caregiver or in a similar role is preferred but not required. Training will be provided to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
